Biography
Sang Eun Kim
is born in South Korea. she is majored in voice at the EWHA Womans University in Seoul with soprano Sung Hee Park, graduated with the highest grade. Afterward, with the aim of perfection linguistic knowledge and being confronted directly with the Italian artistic heritage, particularly with the Opera, she moved to Alba where she specialized in singing at the Civic Institute of Music "Lodovico Rocca "with Sonia Franzese. She later graduated with full marks at the “Antonio Vivaldi” Conservatory of Alessandria, where she attended the Biennio of Opera Singing (the master's course) with Riccardo Ristori. Active as a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed in numerous music centers in Italy and abroad, as an Artist in Residence of the Alba Music Festival, for the “Mercoledì del Conservatorio” ("Conservatory Wednesday")Season in Alessandria, and in particular for the “Internazionale Scatola Sonora” Festival, in which she debuted the role of Adina in Donizetti's Elisir d’amore in Milan and Alessandria. In 2021 she received the "Special Prize for the best Lieder performance" at the "A. Rubinstein” in Dusseldorf.
She is currently attending the Advanced Course in Opera Singing at the Fiesole Music School with Patrizia Ciofi.
