Biography

Born in 1992 in Marseille, French mezzo-soprano Léa Fusaro began her artistic journey when she was a teenager with a passion for theater. She had her first stage experience by training with a company in the Auvergne Region for several years, as well as in the conservatory of Montluçon. She did a Master Degree in English Literature and History in the University of Lyon before dedicating herself to singing.

She started her vocal studies in the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Lyon from 2016 to 2019. She sung during the same years in the choir of the École Nationale de Musique in Villeurbanne and in two productions of Offenbach's opérettes La Périchole and la Belle Hélène with the company "Pleine Lune Pleine Voix".

She also participated in a Masterclass with soprano Christine Schweitzer during the summer 2020.

She is currently studying with Heidi Brunner in the Haute École de Musique in Geneva, she finished her Bachelor in June 2022 and is now starting a Master Degree.

She performed in 2020 the role of Proserpina from the opera Orfeo by Claudio Monteverdi conducted by Leonardo García Alarcón in the Victoria Hall of Geneva during a school production.
