Biography

Mezzo-soprano / Contralto Lauriane Tregan-Marcuz, 30 years old, a native of France, is graduated with Performance Diploma program in Fall 2019 at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana, USA, studying with Carlos Montané. Born in a musician family, she always wanted to be an opera singer like her father. She first studied violin and music theory for 10 years in the Conservatoire of Bordeaux. At the age of 21, she studied singing with Lionel Sarrazin in Bordeaux and Marie-Ange Todorovitch in Switzerland. In summer 2017 in Germany, Weimar, she met Professor Carlos Montané and decided to join his studio in Fall 2018 at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana, USA.

She is currently living in Berlin and she is pursuing her professional path as a soloist opera singer in Europe. She is currently working with Markus Zugehör in Berliner Staatsoper. She recently performs in the opera house of Bordeaux with a concert dedicated in Offenbach operette in February 2022. Her future engagements are Semi- finalist in Marmande Competition and Alto Solo in the ‘Petite Messe Solennelle Rossini’ with Opera of Bordeaux, March 2023.

She performed Madame de Croissy in ‘The Dialogue of Carmelites’ in IU Theater in October 2018 and also as a Flowerlady in Parsifal in Fall 2019. She was also the Third Lady in The Magic Flute with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar in summer 2017. During her musical training with Lionel Sarrazin, Marie-Ange Todorovitch and Salvatore Caputo in France, she performed as a soloist the Mozart Requiem. She was also in the ensemble of Candide with The Glimmerglass Festival in January 2017 in Bordeaux and sang in
several opera houses in Europe. She also speaks fluently English, French and German.
