Biography

In October 2022 Anne-Fleur Werner will gave her house debut at the Opera Bonn as Contessa Almaviva. In November 2022 she covered the role of the Daughter in Hindemiths opera „Cardillac“ at the Wiener Staatsoper. In Bonn she will also portray the role of Lilian in a new production of Franz Schrekers rarely staged opera „Der singende Teufel“ in May 2023.

From the start of the season 2017/18 Anne-Fleur Werner joined the Ensemble of the Salzburg State Theatre, singing a wide repertoire from Mozart’s Countess Almaviva and Fiordiligi, Offenbach’s Antonia, the Daughter in Hindemith`s „Cardillac“, Gräfin Zedlau in the operetta „Wiener Blut“. In 2019/20 she sang Rezia in Weber`s „Oberon“ under the baton of Ido Arad and covered Elsa in Wagner`s „Lohengrin“ at the famous Felsenreitschule Salzburg. Further role debuts were the Primadonna Corilla in Donizetti´s „Viva La Mamma“, Agathe in Weber‘s „Freischütz“. 

In the Seasons 2020 - 2022 she had role debuts such as the title role in Gounod‘s „Margarethe“, the stepmother in Alma Deutscher’s „Cinderella“ and Sonja in „Der Zarewitsch“ at the Lehàr Festival, Helmwige (Die Walküre) at the Opera  Coburg.

The young German soprano participated in the 2017 Salzburg Festival Young Singers Project and appeared as a soloist during the Young Conductors Award Concert Weekend. Anne-Fleur Werner had the eminent distinction of recieving a scholarship from the Young Musicians’ Foundation Bayreuth and was a finalist in the prestigious Competizione dell’Opera at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow 2016, subsequently performing with the Bruckner Orchestra in the Bruckner Haus in Linz.

Anne-Fleur Werner started singing training at the age of eleven with Prof. Christel Borchers in Munich. She later studied with Horiana Branisteanu and Ingrid Kremling-Domanski at the Mozarteum Salzburg and earned her Master’s degree with honors in Helmut Deutsch’s Lied Class. Ms. Werner has studied with Montserrat Caballé, Helen Donath, Rudolf Piernay and Gudrun Ayasse and Michelle Wegwart.
