Biography
Egor Sergeev was born in Zhirnovsk, Southern Russia, and completed his initial vocal studies at the Russian State Academy of Arts in Moscow with Konstantin Biryukov.
In 2020, while still a student, he made his debut at the "New Opera" theatre in Moscow, performing the role of Count Almaviva in 'Le nozze di Figaro'. This was followed by further engagements as Guglielmo in 'Così fan tutte' and in the title role of Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin. In 2023 he performed a principal role in the production "Neue Szenen" at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Shortly after, he made his debut at the Konzerthaus Berlin in the world premiere of Donizetti's rediscovered opera "Dalinda". He has also recorded with the Berlin Radio Orchestra for the national radio Deutschlandfunk Kultur.
In 2021 he continued his education at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin, where he is currently studying with Prof. Dr. Mikhail Lanskoi. In 2022 he was a finalist in the Jacques Offenbach Grand Prix International Singing Competition in Bad Ems, and in 2023, he was a finalist in the International Haydn Singing Competition for Classical Song and Aria in Rohrau, Austria. Egor Sergeev is supported by the Lucia Loeser, Ottilie Selbach Redslob, and Giovanni Omodeo foundations.
