A. Ranti Ihimoyan

Biography

A. Ranti Ihimoyan’s passion for singing started in school in Nigeria where she won first place in the Shell Petroleum Music Competition and sang in the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) Festival.

She returned to her birth city of Chicago combining Chemical Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) with music courses at the VanderCook College of Music. Her musical journey has led her to performances in opera programs and festivals in Salzburg, Vienna, Sant’Angelo in Vado (Italy), Chicago and Lagos.

Her full opera roles include:

• ‘Fiordiligi’ in Mozart’s ‘Cosi fan tutte’
• ‘Donna Anna’ in Mozart’s ‘Don Giovanni’
• ‘Pamina’ in Mozart’s ‘Die Zauberflöte’ 
• ‘Marenka’ in Smetana’s ‘Bartered Bride’ 
• ‘Norina’ in Donizetti’s ‘Don Pasquale’
