Lasse Okland

Biography

Lasse Økland(26) is a young lyrical baritone, from Norway. His vocie is described as rich and warm, as well as very mature for someone his age. Both his bachelor- and masters degree was completed in Norway under the internationally acclaimed soprano Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz. Along with Norberg-Schulz he reached top marks. He was even awarded a special grant from his university for his bright future as a singer. Lasse is a versatile performer who feels as comfortable on the opera stage, as he does on the concert stage. He is a part of the Opera Rogaland young talent program, where he has gotten a lot of stage experience singing both smaller roles as well as lead roles. He will be appearing in their 2022 productions. Currently Lasse is studying at the Royal Academy of Music under prof. Mark Wildman, and he will most likely stay in London for some years to come. Something that separates Lasse from others is his fantastic stage presence and his skillfull acting.
