She has worked closely with Canadian composers Daniel Abrahamson and Ashley Botting through the Canadian Musical Theatre Project, originating the role of Heather and workshopping the new musical The Stars of Mars. Daniel invited her to perform solo selections of this new work at Feinstein's/54 Below in NYC. During this time, she performed benefit concerts supporting mental health awareness with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and seasonal pantomime musicals in Toronto to support and encourage youth to come to the theatre.
Teresa holds an Honors Bachelor of Music & Theatre degree from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Bradley Williams. This past year, she has performed the partial role of Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro in an all-Mozart program with the New England Conservatory of Music under the direction and coaching of Joshua Major and Damien Francouer-Kryzyzek. She is looking forward to performing all of Act II in Puccini’s La Boheme as Musetta with Canto Vocal Programs in Louisville, Kentucky this summer.
So many influential artists have guided Teresa in the classical, musical theatre, and mainstream pop industries. She studied with Deanna Pauletto, her first voice teacher, and was introduced through Deanna to Quinn Kelsey, who coaches her frequently on her classical technique. She was honored to work closely with Maestro Jeffrey Huard on her Canadian debut as Christine in The Phantom of the Opera, with Donna Fletcher as her director. She has also collaborated with Ariana Grande and Maroon 5’s producers to write and record original mainstream music.
Additionally, Teresa has been featured in many commercials and TV shows across Canada and the US. Her latest TV appearance was with the Discovery Channel’s Fear Thy Neighbor as a principal role in Season 7.
